The story of WJS begins with over two decades of passion for the tourism industry. My experience at the forefront of inbound travel at H.I.S., a leading travel corporation, was more than just a job—it was the foundation for deeply understanding the essence of cross-cultural exchange.
The unprecedented pandemic, which brought our industry to a halt, was not a crisis for us, but a catalyst for transformation. In 2023, we broke from existing frameworks and executed a bold strategic pivot toward the global market.
As a result, we broke free from our reliance on a single market and successfully penetrated new blue-ocean markets, starting with the Middle East and expanding into South America. This strategic shift yielded immediate results, culminating in a V-shaped recovery in 2024 that surpassed 100 million JPY in annual revenue and re-established our robust financial foundation.
Our true strength lies in this proven resilience and our advanced flexibility to anticipate market shifts. Today, we are leveraging that expertise to create new, high-value ventures, such as specialized agricultural tourism that also contributes to Japan's regional revitalization.
